Silver Rate Trend in Rajasthan

The table above follows silver in Rajasthan over the last 10 days, with an arrow marking each day's rise or fall. Silver moves more sharply than gold, so check the trend before you buy or sell.

What Decides the Silver Rate in Rajasthan

  • World price. Silver trades in US dollars, so a move abroad reaches Rajasthan the same day.
  • The rupee. A weaker rupee raises the cost of imported silver.
  • Import duty and licensing. Duty rose from 6% to 15% on 13 May 2026, and silver bars now need an import licence.
  • Industrial demand. Silver is used in solar panels and electronics, so factory demand affects price alongside jewellery demand.
  • GST. It is added at 3% on your bill and is not part of the daily rate.

The current price for a kg of silver in Rajasthan is Rs 36,244 (as of December 18, 2015). How to Work Out the Price of Silver Jewellery in Rajasthan

1.  Multiply the weight by the day's rate to get the silver value.

2.  Add making charges. Jewellers set them as a percentage or a rate per gram, and hand-crafted pieces cost more to make.

3.  Add 3% GST. Check the invoice, since GST on making charges can be shown differently.

How to Check Silver Purity in Rajasthan

  • Look for the BIS 'SILVER' hallmark and the purity grade, for example 925.
  • Check for the 6-character HUID, added to silver hallmarking from 1 September 2025.
  • Verify the HUID on the BIS Care app.
  • Remember silver hallmarking is voluntary, so an unmarked piece is not automatically fake. Ask for a bill that states the purity and weight either way.

  • Silver jewellery. Popular and easy to buy, but making and wastage charges reduce its value as a pure investment.
  • Silver coins and bars. Sold by banks and jewellers, priced by weight and purity, and usually cheaper from a jeweller than a bank.
  • Silver ETFs. Regulated by SEBI and bought through a demat account, without needing to store physical metal.
  • There is no Sovereign Gold Bond equivalent for silver.
